Production week 7

We started with the polish face and are currently wrapping up our game visually and codewise.
We tried to tie the scene more together by changing the colors and adding some more small assets like the rainbow. In the background we painted a new Texture for the skysphere.

This weeks goal was to add a lot of player feedback to enhance the players experience while playing. We added more particles and
some details for the UI aswell. To make it clear if a player has a bomb picked up, we drew a little inventory for the players.

For the UI, we painted glowing buttons, which are going to pop up as soon as one of the players is hoovering over them.
This is an example of the pause screen.

Additionally for player feedback we added another blue arrow for indications.

To give more live to the scene, we made a panning shader for our lava that comes out of the volcano and for the water. It is easily adjustable in the shader to our liking. Also some falling leaves have been added to the scene.

We refined our volcano particle and added a respawning particle as well. It drops from the air where the player is going to respawn to indicate the players position.

Our programmers worked hard on fixing bugs this week. They made sure that all the collisions for the meshes are working. It is not possible anymore to clip through the bridges or fall down uncontrolled. Additionally, when players are re spawning we had an issue where they would fall into pits of the broken island. This is also not possible anymore. Also blocks cannot spawn in those pits anymore and are landing on the fixed island. The colors of the stacked blocks are also updated and give a better visual result as well. The spawning particle is hooked up with the players spawning as well as more  music and sound was added.

We are really happy with our progress so far and awaiting feedback to polish our scene to the maximum. This week we will do a lot of playtesting to get a feel of the game and what could still be missing or add to the players experience.
